Psalm 119:159
Our stories are not tales of heroism, but rather stories of both successes and failures–all too many failures. The call, “Give me life!” is the heart cry of many.

What is the value of repetition? (No, though the word “persecutor” is in the title, and in the verse, this is not about that!)
Mercy and judgment are much closer allies than we may have realized.
Sometimes we call on God to resuce us from a situation while diligently working to make our problem worse.
Do we need God to take up our case? Perhaps we need to find out how God is active in our lives.
Can you make a bargain with God? Is this verse presenting such a bargain?
God has created a universe that is wildly diverse, yet eternally well-established.
God is near, yet beyond comprehension. What on earth does that mean?
Are your evil enemies as evil as you imagine? Are they anagry at your goodness, or at flaws in your approach? Are you as good as you think you are?
We receive mercy so we can live and also show mercy to others. Mercy is not a limited commodity. God has as much of it as is needed.
