Psalm 119:176 – Seek Me
No matter where we are or what we’re trying to do, we need God to seek us out. The law may be good, but it doesn’t not replace the lawgiver.
No matter where we are or what we’re trying to do, we need God to seek us out. The law may be good, but it doesn’t not replace the lawgiver.
The Psalm’s praise and prayer is encapsulated in this verse and again in the next. Give me life, let your decisions help me!
How can one sing praises about the law? Perhaps we need to change our perspective.
How is it possible to love the law? Is it possible to keep God’s law? This verse leads me to meditate on those questions.
This verse has hope and action in the proper order. Action follows from trust and hope, not the reverse.
What causes us offence? How can we live a life without such offence?
God is near, yet beyond comprehension. What on earth does that mean?
We may not always comprehend God or eternity and thus an eternal law. But we can set forth and live it nonetheless.
We need to stay on the right path no matterwhat others are thinking of us.
Am I led to tears by seeing a lack of love for other people in myself and in others?
