Christianity by Force or Manipulation

There is very little that offends me more than the idea of manipulating people into Christian events or trying to convert them by force. (0)

What Makes a Plumber Real
(2010/7/20)
Michele Bachmann says she hopes that the newly formed Tea Party Caucus will provide a voice in congress for “real housewives, real farmers, real businessmen, real plumbers.” (Source.) I’m wondering how “real” farmers, businessmen, and plumbers differ from the rest … (1)

A leading light in Christian blogging, with a challenging and varied blog, has gone on to glory after a battle with cancer. Chaplain Mike provides the news at the Internet Monk.

Congratulations to Dispatches from the Culture Wars

My friend Ed Brayton of Dispatches from the Culture Wars, who encouraged me to get into blogging, has just attained a great new record–over 1,000,000 page views for the month of March.

Congratulations!

David Ker is Bored

Well, at least he’s finding the blogosphere boring. He finds that there are only two interesting Christian bloggers left, James McGrath and Eddie Arthur. Of course, you can’t count on the government to use common sense even in implementing common sense. Thus somehow if print news [...]

New Methodist Blogger – Rev. Geoffrey Lentz

I’ve been meaning to post this for a few days, but it’s been busy, as you can tell from my low level of blogging. Geoffrey Lentz is the associate pastor of First United Methodist Church of Pensacola, and a former student of mine. In fact, I met Geoffrey in the first class I [...]
