Psalm 119:161 – Persecuted
What do we fear most? What keeps us from talking genuinely about what we believe, and what we don’t? Perhaps God’s word to us would be “Fear not!”

In which I call for a commitment to truth, but also to humility.
Our stories are not tales of heroism, but rather stories of both successes and failures–all too many failures. The call, “Give me life!” is the heart cry of many.
There is a time for mercy and gentleness, but also a time to be disgusted, angry, and even infuriated. What angers you?
What is the value of repetition? (No, though the word “persecutor” is in the title, and in the verse, this is not about that!)
Mercy and judgment are much closer allies than we may have realized.
Sometimes we call on God to resuce us from a situation while diligently working to make our problem worse.
Do we need God to take up our case? Perhaps we need to find out how God is active in our lives.
Can you make a bargain with God? Is this verse presenting such a bargain?
God has created a universe that is wildly diverse, yet eternally well-established.
