Here’s another incident of mandatory religion in the Air Force (HT: Metacatholic). Besides the fact that it is quite improper for the Air Force to provide mandatory religious indoctrination, this program clearly denigrates the faith of many who would disagree with a number of elements of the presentation.
While I am an advocate of as open of discussion as possible, I dislike the use of the word “censorship” for the actions of private individuals. There are many television shows, for example, that I either dislike or even think are simply bad. I not only don’t watch them, but I will also tell others…
… or so said this pastor last May, thus showing that there are folks who use harsher language about this than I do.
… and on earth too! 🙂 You can see some images on the NASA project site. I stayed up last night until I knew it landed. Those who know me will realize how rare this is. I didn’t feel inclined to blog about it in the middle of the night, but I’ll be looking regularly…
