Perhaps poorly worded but I can see how with reality TV and 24 hours news cycles devoted to celebrities can make one feel like the only voices being heard are the ones that are thrust onto our tvs, newspapers and internet streams and not the real people that we actually interact with everyday.
Although Michele’s sentiment isn’t new and populism is nearly always popular during midterm elections because it wins votes and makes for easy pre-fabbed campaign arguments against incumbents regardless of party.
