Colin Powell Endorses Barack Obama
By Henry Neufeld I know this is old news by now, but I particularly appreciated the tone of the endorsement. As one who has some policy disagreements with Barack Obama, but who nonetheless supports him on balance, I was glad to hear a nuanced endorsement.

PS: I particularly appreciated his comment on the question of Obama being a Muslim. He’s not, he’s a Christian, but being a Muslim should not disqualify someone from becoming president of the United States.

Oh, but you know … he is only endorsing Obama because he is a “liberal” Republican and because he is black. At least that is what I read on most every Republican/Independent blog out there covering it.
