I think that is why Ronald Reagan is often viewed as being so successful. Whether you liked the star wars initiative or the so called mutual assured destruction, they both appeared as concrete plans. But, I also think that whenever we have a near split in power like we do now with republicans and democrats, that there will be little coherent planning that can occur. Until there is a clear majority power, I expect we'll be trudging along with no progress for a long time. I agree that we have to have a strategy. To shut the proles up and buy votes. Mind you, I’m still taking whatever they’ll give me. :-) I still have to pay off last year’s tax bill, not to mention a fair chunk of this year’s. Which, honestly, I wouldn’t mind if only they didn’t blow so much of it on garbage like bridges to nowhere and Lawrence Welk museums.
