Thanks for providing this link to your excellent notes. My Akkadian has deteriorated to the “one sign at a time” level, so I won’t try to get into the technicalities.

I agree with the gist of this post.

It is also important, it seems to me, to emphasize that the text of Jer 39:3 as it stands in MT is quite a mess.
