Not being a theologian, I&#039;m not very troubled by the theological debates on security, election, etc.  But as a follower of Christ I can see the ebb and flow of my life and projecting that into the future can imagine how it would be possible to &quot;start well&quot; but not &quot;end well.&quot; Another perspective on this is that someone can through devotion to Christ actually find themselves &quot;outside the fold&quot; so to speak in terms of what the majority call acceptable Christianity.  In such a case it really isn&#039;t a case of a saint becoming a sinner but of someone finding freedom.  My &quot;postlet&quot; was not meant to be authoritative but rather thought-provoking.  I&#039;m glad it &quot;provoked&quot; you.</description>
